Rudyard Lake and Railway
This facility would seem to have some scope for better and further tourist facilities. Unfortunately at peak holiday times and week-ends parking presents as a problem and but for the proximity of degraded parking at the railway station and the unofficial parking that takes place at the nearby hotel residents are almost certain to find themselves incommoded by any significant increase in tourist traffic. Access to the Railway is problematic. Ingress and Egress, whilst perhaps adequate for ‘light off-peak usage,’ will become dangerous if there is any significant increase in traffic flows. Sight lines are restricted by the bridge structure that spans the road and the road parking which is already a feature of existing tourism.
